How to Use Competitor Benchmarking
Overview
Competitor Benchmarking lets you track your review performance against up to 3 competitors. Compare ratings, review volume, sentiment, and response rates over time.
Adding Competitors
- Navigate to the Benchmarking page
- Click "Add Competitor"
- Paste the competitor's review page URL (Google Maps, Trustpilot, etc.)
- Click "Add"

The system will automatically scrape the competitor's reviews and create a baseline snapshot.
Understanding Metrics
Average Rating
The star rating across all reviews (1-5 scale).
Review Volume
Total number of reviews.
Review Velocity
New reviews per week. Calculated from reviews in the last 30 days.
Sentiment Breakdown
Percentage of positive, neutral, and negative reviews based on AI analysis.
Response Rate
Percentage of reviews that have an owner response. Only available for platforms that expose this data.
Reading Trends
The trend charts show how metrics change over time:
- Rating Trend: Your rating vs competitors over weeks
- Volume Trend: Review count growth comparison
Trends are updated weekly automatically.

Q: How many competitors can I track? A: Up to 3 competitors per account.
Q: How often is data refreshed? A: Weekly on Sundays.
Q: Can I track competitors on different platforms? A: Yes, you can mix platforms (e.g., Google Maps + Trustpilot).
Q: Why is response rate showing "N/A"? A: Some platforms don't expose owner reply data. This is normal.
Q: What happens if a competitor URL stops working? A: The system will retry up to 3 times, then mark the competitor as "error" status.
